The act was twenty-three minutes long on the full stage.
Three men dressed as gondoliers play the violin, mandolin, and guitar in front of a Venetian backdrop. A woman follows them onstage and sings Italian opera numbers. A gondola glides across the stage as she sings. A curtain is raised to reveal a twelve piece brass band in colonial costumes, white wigs and no makeup. They march around and play one number before a conductor emerges to lead them. They finish with a tableau of “The Spirit of ’76”.
The act is not worth the amount of trouble it takes to coordinate at least fifteen musicians onstage. The act lacks the entertainment factor needed to push it onto the big time.
