Some clever light effects are introduced, especially in the "Firefly" number, where swinging wires with illuminated ends are used. Another is In the opening number, called "Now York Town, where a transparency shows a rain effect to splendid advantage.
"Painty Duchess" Featuring Alice Brophy, Fannie Thatcher, George Stevenson and John Lake. Fred Ireland, assisted by Alice Brophy and P. W. Miles, presented "The Man from Ireland." Lake and Stevenson call theirs "In Wrong."
For the Star and Garter audience, the "Dainty Duchess" is a corking good show hut for some of the other Eastern Wheel houses It will probably be a little too classy.
