Smedley plays seven songs on the mandolin, banjo, lute, and uses a ten-stringed instrument on an upright frame.
All of his songs could be shortened and he would still have the chance to show off his tricks. In the present act he attempts to do too much. If his act was cut in time, he could easily be an opening act for any big small time bill.
