The act was eight minutes long. This male and female team plays musical numbers with drinking glasses and xylophones. The woman changes costume twice. They both play ragtime and classical numbers well.
"Chatterbox Rag"; "Alexander's Ragtime Band"; Liszt's Symphony, No. 2.
The woman's work garnered her several curtain calls, which she took in the style of Eva Tanguay. "Chatterbox Rag" on the xylophone was extremely popular with the audience, but the "Alexander" number was too overdone in vaudeville to receive much of a response.
Playing Liszt's symphony is a waste of time in the pop houses. If their setting was more extravagant and they updated their numbers, the Parshleys could achieve success on any pop program.
