This musical comedy entitled “The Producer” was fifty-eight minutes long on the full stage. “The sketch is described as a one-act spectacular farce in three scenes.” The scenes include a reception room, a stage door, and a rehearsal.
The first and second scenes should be eliminated altogether and the farce should be made up of only the final rehearsal scene with more comedians. Ned Wayburn shines simply because no one else in the sketch is a decent performer. Backstage life is also not entirely illuminated as many aspects of it were left out of the production.
