Two men presenting the playlet, “The Turn of the Tide”, one doing straight man-about-town and the other a burglar. During the action of the piece the last named introduces some piano playing that caught on very strong. I was a little bit afraid of this act, having heard in advance that wasn’t especially good, but the boys must be given credit for acquiring the attention of the audience at the rise of the curtain and holding it all the way through without the slightest trouble. There was some very good line of a comedy order, a distinct element of pathos, and the finish was quite strong. In fact the act was perfectly satisfactory and has the merit of being different from a great many so-called sketches. 28 minutes, C.D.F. in 3.
