Both Miss Hall and her new partner, Max von Mitzel, realize the characters portrayed almost to perfection. They play without posing or undue appeal to sentimentality and the humor is admirably brought out.
There is a good deal of the Bowery vernacular that even a “wise" audience does not catch readily.
Maude Macy Hall is growing rather prolific in her slang.
