Emily Darrell displayed her characteristic line of comedy in "Late for Rehearsal" with her bulldog as a foil; In fact she foiled the audience so completely that for the most part she went right over their heads. If she would pull out the old song number and put in a few funny gags she might utilize her comic personality to a better advantage.
