In all my experience I have never seen a playlet with as tremendous power contained in it as this one. The applause was tremendous at many intervalls [sic] throughout the play and very strong at the finish. As to the company, it is all that could be asked and, while I have never seen Mme. Nazimova in this particular part, I have seen her in other things several times, and I am quite satisfied that she cannot play the part any better, if as well, as Miss Varesi, who is playing it in the company. At any other week than Holy Week I should expect a tremendous business, I shall be very glad to play it back next season with this company. 33 minutes f.s.
