The comedian has a good conception of the popular idea of the ridiculous "rah, rah" college freshman and makes cap- ital out of the type. The opening talk is full of good points, and throughout the pair have an amusing lot of cross fire material. The trick of the "straight" man in jerking his partner about with the crook of his cane is a bit of knockabout that could well be dispensed with.
