The blackface comedian of the quartet is an exceedingly skillful laugh getter. There is no noise or horseplay about his work, some of the best of his points being secured entirely in pantomime. The other members furnish only a background for him to work upon. Jessie Hayward's French accent is a bit motheaten, but she carries herself gracefully and fills her part of feeder satisfactorily. Harry Hayward makes a good enough "straight" man, but his evening clothes need attention.
