She is singing songs and giving imitations, that of Vernon, the ventriloquist, remaining her best piece of work, and as Miss Winter announced, it is her trade-mark, although a statement to that effect is not required. Her impersonation of Vesta Victoria singing "The Model" is not creditable in any way, and the opening song, a Western number, secured little applause. Another selection "Message of the Eyes" is pretty, but quiet. In this she is assisted by her father, Banks Winter, from the wings.
Miss Winter scored with the ventriloquial performance; if she were to linger in vaudeville, the other material up to that point should be made over.
