"Flying" is a burlesque on aviation. The company contains many from the original cast.
The only fault in the piece when it was shown in London last year by Harry Tate was its weak finish. Evidently, someone thought the piece needed revision for this side of the pond. This was a big mistake. The version shown at the Columbia could be labeled little more than silly. Tate could not save this one. The man who plays the principal is alright. He does what he can with the role. As it stands now, the piece is a disjointed, rickety affair. The sooner it switches back to the original English version, the better.
