He wears tights, which gives him an odd appearance.
The "Comedy Card Manipulator" had previously been reviewed as a new act, but his turn has changed so much since it was played at the Majestic, Chicago. The offering is practically new.
He made capital out of Henry Clive's "dice box," but dropped it after the first show. He also gave a quantity of talk which Griff had previously given out. He opened with the card manipulation and finished with a burlesque hypnotic hit. He gets a subject from the audience, obviously a plant, who turns out to be a bully contortionist.
He struggled with the Griff material. Perhaps Chicagoans have forgotten about Griff, but New Yorkers have not. If Carlton is set to perform anywhere Griff has been, he should be careful not to use similar remarks.
