The closing trick features a girl assistant. She gets into an unfilled can with Clempert in another, filled with water. He escapes and releases the girl from the filled can. A release from chains and a straight jacket escape make up the rest of the act.
The "escape act" with handcuffs and straight jackets have become a passe for the better class variety houses.
He takes up too much time with explanations and fake arguments with the selected committee from the audience. The final trick is good, but not startling. The act runs at least 12 minutes too long, running 32 minutes total. It is a good act for the small time.
