Woolf & Stewart

In The Novelty Playlet “In Two Flats” — Man and woman; special scenery; this act went very light; the people don’t seem to care for acts of this kind; about two hundred people walked out on it this afternoon. 15 min.

Sweeney & Rooney

“Novelty Dancers” — Two men; hard-shoe and Pedestal dancing, with a song and some talking. 12 min. olio; went good.

“Submarine F 7.”

22 min. With the submarines playing such an important part in the present war, this is a most timely production as well as a distinctly spectacular novelty. The scene presents the interior of a submarine which engages in a battle and then sinks. A rescue is made while the crew is facing death and brings the act to a sensational climax. Seven men are employed in the act and it proved interesting every minute, closing to a big hand.

Thomas Swift & Marry H. Kelley

22 min. in “$3,000.” A very good skit with a novelty opening and closing. Bright dialogue and a couple of songs are used. Cleverly played and got a big share of laughs. Was one of the big hits of the bill.

Sam Hearn

The Rube with his Fiddle and Bow. Takes character of a rural Rube. This act went over very good. 13 min. in one.

Mystic Hanson Trio

18 min. f.s.. A magician assisted by two girls present a very novel set in the form of musical comedy. Pleased throughout and their patriotic finale put them over to a good hand.

Adams and Burkino

Adams and Burkino, two-man comedy novelty turn, open the bill and have almost a show of their own. They juggle clubs and hats, do some pretty fair hoop-rolling, a comedy ventriloquial bit and some laughs conjuring, with a lot of comedy paraphernalia and pantomime intermixed, getting scattered laughs throughout.

“The Clown Seal”

Ray G. Hulling presents “The Clown Seal” — A Comedian FROM the Sea. The Most Wonderfully Trained Animal in Captivity. This is surely a wonderful seal — his clever tricks are almost human — This act went very good; 15 min. C.D.F.

Mc Mahon Sisters

“Well-known Entertainers” — In their first number dressed as Colonial dames; then change of costume and gave several duetts which went over good; 13 min. in one.

Three Diving Nymphs

8 Mins.; Full Stage (Special Set). Whoever laid out this act had evolved a novelty in the way of diving turns. There have been any number of diving acts in the past, some with one girl and some with many more, but these girls will be kept working on the small time. Each young woman has a pretty figure. The opening shows the trio posing on a revolving platform that sinks out of view behind the tank and then reappears with the girls in different attitudes. Six or seven of these pictures are shown and then the diving starts. The act is a very classy number for any small time program, and for full value should be on earlier than the closing spot.
