Bettinia Bruce and Company

Hen-pecked husband gets independence by aserting his authority under the stimulus of an enthusiastic souse. Introduction of the dead husband with green lights and funeral clothes. Miss Bruce has the advantage of good looks.

The Wallen Brothers and Martel

A lot of girls on stage with very pretty costumes. The lights are not hidden behind smoked glass as a light effect. Hired Bartoletti who has real ballet training, not just toe dancing. The girls are pretty without being too heavy.

Louis Robie

Has put in Jack O’Brien as the special attraction. William Patton is the only real actor, who plays an English swell with absolute repression. Patton must be an accident in burlesque as the legitimate seems to be his home. He is the only good thing about the show, there are no other comedians. As a show it is scarcely to be commended. The chorus is not young or shapely. Cover the girls in darkness most of the time. Costumes are in wretched taste and poorly made. Sam Green tries to be funny in his underclothes but they are dirty and it is found offensive. O’Brien come on and fights three rounds in ten pound gloves.

The Mascottes

Only redeeming feature is the girls. Cora Van Buren is a “couchee couchee” dancer who wriggles during the songs. Girls form a V in the finale

Al Reeves Big Beauty Show

girls are well dressed in costumes “that have a new appearance”. But the colors are not blended well and “the present combination” makes some of the girls “look grotesque”. The girls are “much better looking at long range than close at hand, and all seem quite youthful from the front.”
