Frederick V. Bowers and Co.

(Second appearance this season) Man, white woman, colored boy and girl, and dog. Works in one, two, and full stage, for six different scenes, for ten numbers, 19 minutes. Singing, dancing, comedy, changes. Went good, at night – at matinee.

Arthur Day

Eccentric comedian who dances, sings, does acrobatic dancing, mimicing [sic] of a Chinaman singing a native love-song, and who features ‘On the Way to Mexico” which goes big. 14 minutes. Hit.

Eva Allen

“Before Eva appeared on the scene, […] her company came down the aisle and gave everyone a pencil who wanted to write a question for Miss Allen to answer. All questions when written were folded and hidden. […] Most of the requests were for lost articles and proof of the correctness of the answers given was wanting.”
