The act entitled “The Whistling Ploughboy” was seven minutes long during the Harry Lauder Show.
Arthur Astill impersonates a Yorkshire farmer and does a whistling routine. He whistles through his fingers in clear, high tones. One of his tricks includes imitating a chick who has escaped from the roost.

Lauder sings seven songs. He sang ” A Wee Hoose” without the accompaniment of the orchestra.
