The “Maids” are working well. They are a lively lot, drilled in a workmanlike manner, and the songs, and music keep their feet on the move continually.
The special drop showing a railroad train at night would bring the applause in a Broadway legitimate house. The Colonial audience wanted to express its approval that way, but vaudeville has yet to reach the scene-applauding stage.
