Jock Whitford

His opening number is entirely unsuited to American vaudeville use, but Whitford helped it out with a good eccentric dance. There is more of this sort of dancing later.
It is a comic with Scotch subject and text and brazen and unmistakable "coon" swing to the air. The best was toward the finish, where Witford shows a Scotch sporting enthusiast watching a football gaame.
The audience liked the number and if the first New York reception may be taken as a standard of judgment, Whitford should do well on this side.
