"School Days" features a cast of forty persons, of which thirty-four are between the ages of 16 and 20, another four are even younger. The forty-odd boys and girls yell, sing, dance, and answer questions. The music is by Gus Edwards, lyrics by Ed Gardenier and Vincent Bryan, and the book Aaron Hoffman. Ned Wayburn staged the production.
The individual performances which stand out include: Milfred Berrick, "who is eighteen years old but whose weight is a dozen times that figure; Jeanette Preist; acrobats Joe Keno and Agnes Lynn; Herman Timberg; and Gregory Kelly. The best songs of the act were "The Fighting Kid," "When I am an American Citizen," and "Maybe It's a Bear."
