One of her best assets is the Carus smile, which seems always in evidence, and it is this, together with her singing, that makes her such a favourite wherever she appears.
Miss Carus's two big songs were "Be Sure He is Irish," and "When Mother Plays a Rag Upon Her Sewing Machine." Another one of her songs, "That;s How I Need You," was also joyfully welcomed.
The audience recalled her time and again, and she sang over half an hour and still they wanted more.
Miss Carus made one of the most pronounced hit of her career.
