The performance of Caesar Rivoli casts all else in shadow. Rivoli is a foreign performer who has reduced his lightning change acts to an art. First, he has the stage set as a restaurant, and by some miraculous changing of costume, manner and voice he assumed sevencharacter. He plays a short comedy, ending it by surprising all in a rush down the auditorium in the guise of a police officer. The second part of his performance consists of making some rapid changes, and the third and best part is done in the orchestra pit. Rivoli places a music stand in the pit and with the spotlight on his gives imitation of famous composers and conductors, assuming the characters perfectly and leading all the peculiar mannerisms of the men he imitates. He has studied for years his art and has pronounced one of the three best in his line in the world.
