(26 mins.) A big applause hit all through her act. She has a lot of new impersonations and stands out as class in all of them. She had the audience calling for their favourites and could have held the stage indefinitely.
(12 mins.) Following the dramatic sketch their comedy went over with a bang. They have a lot of good material, handle it well. Their songs scored a good sized laughing hit and closed to a good hand.
(18 mins.) One of the best dramatic sketches we have played in a long time. It is not only a great human interest story but splendidly played. Held interest from start to finish and closed very strong, Miss Padden being forced to take a couple of extra bows.
(20 mins.) She was in splendid voice and everyone of her songs went over big. She was a rousing hit and closed to a big hand.
(25 mins/) Although Mr. Ward was suffering from a heavy cold and did not song, the act went over as a sure-fire hit. He has two or three girls who put over great songs and the act, as usual, makes a big musical flash. Closed very strong.
(14 mins.) One of the best dog acts we play and also one of the best handled.
These people seem to have gone backward in their work. They force their comedy until it becomes tiresome. 17 min. in one.
Man and woman with a very novel idea and although the act must be rated as good, the idea has not by any means been developed to its fullest extent. A great deal of the dialogue being of rather ancient vintage. A good writer and two particularly clever people could have made this a real big thing, however, it is good. 15 min. full stage.
In “Mulligan and Mulligan From the West”. These two chaps have a very clever satire on vaudeville dancing acts which was received with screams of laughter and much applause at the Monday shows. Very good act. 15 min. in one.
Little singing of no consequence and some dancing that is fair, that on the long shoes being good, but again no longer a novelty. Fair act. 9 min. in one.
