Smith, Cook and Brandon

20 minutes, opening in one, going into full stage, closing in one. ‘The Millionaires.’ The same old ‘Smith & Cook’ act, with the addition of a woman toe dancer. The burlesque on the Apache dance, also new, is very funny, and the act is doing well as ever.

“The Girl in the Moon”

10 min, F.S. This is a big feature for such a show, and made a big hit. The girl coming out into the audience is something new for this type of show, and the act went very big. The girl who sings has a sweet pleasing voice, and the act should cause some talk.

Mr. & Mrs. Stillman

17 min, F.S.: library. Man and woman in an old sketch which they did not play very well. This is the weakest spot of the whole show: got a few laughs, but did not hold up this spot as they should.

Dunbars Salon Singers.

In Moments Musical, 20 minutes full stage, special set. 2 women. 3 men. Very good act; excellent choice of songs, rendered in a highly artistic manner. Scenery well nigh gorgeous, makes the stage picture one of great beauty. Made a tremendous hit, and were recalled innumerable times. Quite the most emphatic success for some time past.

Spencer & Williams

Singing and talking skit, 14 minutes in (I). Good act, with catchy and tuneful songs, and comedy along new and original lines. Owing to the absence of Mr. Spencer’s regular partner, he was obliged to secure the services of present assistant, who was as he says, his former associate. Whether or not this hurts his act cannot say, not having yet seen his regular partner. However, last night’s audience seemed pleased and accepted the act as good.

The Salon Singers

Four singers and pianist, three man and two women. Plush set and draperies. Voices, selections, and manner pleasing, One man is exceptionally good tenor. Went good, doing and encore at all shows.

Edmond Hayes and Co.

Two men, and woman. In full stage, 17 minutes. A very funny comedy sketch, all talking, entitled ‘The Piano-Movers.’ The attempts made to move a piano by a small fellow are very funny and get many laughs. Went good.

Kenny & Walsh

13 minutes in one. Olio drop. Conventional manaand-woman [sic] singing and dancing act, with a programme of songs of the vintage of 1910. People are clever and have pleasing personalities, but how in the world they ever expect to get by in high-class vaudeville with the programme they are using, is a mystery. Only one of their songs is new, all the others having been sung to death here season before last.

Henry Lewis

16 minutes in one. Special plush drops. ‘A Vaudeville Cocktail.’ Mr. Lewis is unquestionably the best money value single man turn we have had this season. He has lots of personality, immense versatility, and undoubted originality. He is doing a little bit of most everything and doing it with a fine artistic conception. His prologue is a rich satire.

Mlle. Liane Doree & Company

‘Great Moments from Opera.’ 31 minutes. Excerpts from ‘Carmen,’ ‘Il Trovators,’ ‘Rigoletto,’ and ‘Cavalleria Rusticanna.’ This is the sort of act that really elevates vaudeville. It is well put on, the numbers are well rendered, and a touch of novelty is contributed by Mlle. Doree, who speaks a sort of prologue explaining the stories of the operas.
