Billy Burke’s Wild West

When this act is working a little smoother it ought to prove one of the big features acts of the season. The act is handicapped from lack of stage room. Act shows a frontier town with cowboys, broncho [sic] busters, lariat experts, etc., assembled for the frontier day celebration. The set looks well and the various features introduced proved entertaining, especially the lariat work and the sharpshooting, the latter being done by Frank McCrea. Some Indians are to be added to the act tomorrow to lend color. With the outside ballyhoo, the riding of the various members, this act ought to pull business in a normal week. Act is interspersed with some comedy. Own set in 4. Time 20 min.

Nan Engleton & John Sturgeon

In “A Fool’s Folly.” This is a costume playlet from the pen of Oliver White. Has a most entertaining story, is finely cast and well mounted and held the very closest attention from the audience. Act ought to be well liked on the big time. Own set in 3. Time 21 min.

Hal Davis & Inez Macauley

“One Christmas Eve.” This is a sketch by Will M. Cressy and is quite amusing, though there are several spots where the action drags a trifle. If these spots can quickened Davis will have an act that should prove a laughing hit on any hill. Act is well played. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 18 min.

Gertie Carlisle & Jule Bernard

“Kids and Kidders.” There is something lacking this act to make it a success. Miss Carlisle is as dainty a little girl as when she was working with Sager Midgely but she lacks good material in the present vehicle. Act in its present form will no do for the big time. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 13 min. close in 1.

Beth Tate

Singing comedienne. This girl has a good personality and has a collection of songs that carry her over in good shape. She sang 4 today with a change for each. Good value for any manager in this spot. Olio in 1. Time 12 min.

Upside-Down Zerldas

Equilibrists. Man and woman. As good an opening act as we have ever had in the house. Some of their feats are sensational, act is well dressed and the trappings look well. This act will make a great opener in any house. Garden in 3. Time 10 min.

The 3 Nevarros

A corking good hand balancing, acrobatic and contortion act. 10 Min. F.S.

Chassino

Hand and foot shadowgraphist. Undoubtedly the best of them all. He scored as strongly with the audience as he did on previous occasions. 11 Min. F.S.

Montrell

A very clever juggler with a comedy assistant. There is no doubt that the assistant, at times, detracts from his juggling, but he makes them laugh and I suppose that laughs are valuable. 16 Min. F.S. Can close in One.
