Ray & Manning

Singing, dancing and talking, two men. Eccentric dancing, finishing with wooden shoes. Good act went well 10 minutes in one.

Earle Simmons & Co.

4 people. Comedy sketch Mrs. Roosters Bell Game, good sketch for any house, finish is funny went big. 20 minutes full stage. Simmons is a favorite here.

Elle Decosna

Piano selections and singing, piano playing went well. Singing they did not like. 8 minutes in one.

Jimmy Burns

Good novelty wire act 7 minutes full stage. Went good.

Gene Greene

Assisted by his own pianist, in some comical songs. Mr. Greene has a very nice act but when we think that we pay him practically the same salary that we do Edwards, Van & Tierney, it seems very much like a bunco. Ed. Morton is just as good for this house as Mr. Green and I think it will apply to almost any other house. He by no means made a big hit although he went well. 20 min. in two; could work in one.

Sam Mann & Co.

This is one of the best comedy sketches we ever played. Had the audience in laughter all through although it closed the show at the first performance, and while the act ran 35 minutes, it hardly seemed 20. No one can make a mistake in this act. 25 min. Full bare stage.

Vilmos Westony

Hungarian pianist. I am in hopes that Mr. Westony will go bigger tonight than he did this afternoon. He did well but was by no means the sensational hit he was in Philadelphia last week. I should advise managers to be careful in the billing of him and not bear too hard upon the ligitimate [sic] side and the “Protégé of Wagner” stuff. We did it here and I am afraid we have made ourselves ridiculous with it. It is a corking good vaudeville act but when you invite real musicians to come and see it you are liable to be roasted. 33 min. in two.

Crouch & Welch

Vaudeville skit with some good dancing and acrobatic work. There are very clever people and the act proved to be on of the bright spots in the bill. 15 min. open F.S. close in one.

Dr. John C. Bower

In a very interesting travelogue of the Passion Play at Ober Ammergau. Dr. Bowker is a favorite with our people and is always welcomed by them once a year. The advanced applause which he received indicated that they were glad to see him and he was given attention all through and a good hand at the finish. The story was talked out a little too long this afternoon and I think with a shortening up to 20 minutes will be much better. 27 min. in one.

Williams & Segal

A very attractive little singing and dancing act that is thoroughly all right for a number or two act. 11 min. in one.
