16 min. F.S. This is a splendid opener. Two men work straight, one blackface. The fun of the blackface comedian is a little shy of humor, but the work of the jumpers keeps up the interest of the audience. Their paraphernalia is showman-like. The skill of one of the members in jumping from candlestick mounted on high tables commands admiration. Closed very well.
Man and woman, singing, dancing and talking. 12 minutes in one. Don’t care much for them personally but they made good. Went off strong.
Good novelty juggling act. 10 minutes full stage. Has a special drop. Went big.
Time 6. F.S. One of the best casting acts in the business. They have some new and thrilling work.
Time 15. Opens in 2, most of the time in 3 with a transparent drop behind which changes are made. She impersonates London chappies. Her enunciation is poor, her voice does not carry well. She dances fairly well. The act did not take well and applause was infrequent.
Time 15. 3 men, 1 woman. C.D.F. “An Unlucky Star.” A Big hit. The story starts seriously and then turns to screaming farce and travesty. The turn comes quickly and as a big surprise. Very clever.
Time 17. C.D.F. 5 girls. Former members of the Fadettes. They play well together and in solos. Have an excellent program which went big.
In 1. Time 11. 2 men. Good rough and tumble acrobatic fun. Much laughter.
In 2 special back drop. 2 men, 1 woman. Time 21. They present a pretty, quaint Irish romance in which Miss Ricard does some excellent singing of well chosen numbers. A novelty.
Open in 2, close in 1. 2 men. Roller skaters. Good work throughout. Better stage clothes would help out materially.
