Kinetograph

“A Woman’s Vanity.” A very good comedy film.

Wormwood’s Animals

18 min. in one. Well known on the circuit. An act that always pleases fairly well, particularly the children. For some reason or other, Wormwood never seems able to give us a decent performance on Monday afternoon and the act at the start this afternoon was very ragged indeed and very slow but pulled up in the middle and closed fairly well. After some of the European animal acts we have played, the lack of finish stands out very prominently, although Wormwood must be given credit for having clowned up and put on some very god costuming. Some applause through the act and a fair hand at the finish. Promises a much better show tonight.

Getrude Hoffmann

60 min. advance applause. Miss Hoffmann has certainly caught the town with her wonderful act as evidence by universal comment, both by patrons of the theatre and the press. Miss Hoffmann added two new number to her act to-day—“The Bell Girls” and the “Physical Culture Girls.” Both of them were novelties, and were very well received. These two new features have added to the interest to the act. Miss Hoffmann finished to an immense hand and was compelled to give one curtain call after another. Next week Miss Hoffmann will add to her own conception of Mendelssohn’s “Spring Song.” Everybody is of the opinion that this is the greatest act in vaudeville.

Mack & Walker

15 min in one. Advance applause. This act made good on previous visits and was well received all the way through. Sprightly line of patter and good songs. Closed very well.

Bedini & Arthur

14 min F.S. A very good act along Bedini’s old lines of juggling and general fun. Kept the audience amused all the way through and closed strong.

Kelly & Wilder

13 min in one. These entertainers were well received, some of their songs being new, others consisting of a medley of old favorites. Makes a very good appearance and got a fairly strong applause for each one of their selections. Closed well.

McPhee & Hill

12 min. F.S. This act makes a good opener. One works clown, the other eccentric. There is a little talk that does not amount to much. They work first with triple horizontal bars, afterwards with two, one of them double high. The clown’s work is exceptionally good and the comedy in the act is all right. Closed fairly strong.
