Violinist, good appearance. Dressed well. Does some good work. Went very well 8 minutes in one.
Opens with moving pictures showing the Curtiss machine and others in flight. Then follows an exhibition of the machine itself, the lecturer acquired and held the attention of the house which seemed to be intensely interested in the act. At the conclusion a large number of the audience went upon the stage to examine the machine at close range. The act should prove to be one that will create an unusual amount of talk. 16 minutes, picture sheet in 1, landscape in 5.
A Frenchy, crazy sort of an offering which won a lot of laughs but at times seemed too long drawn out. A very funny finish in 1. They work the offering out in great shape, making a strong finish. Special set in 3, close in 1; 24 minutes.
The best quiet comedy couple in vaudeville. Get better results with less effort than any team I ever saw. One long laugh and a strong finish. 20 minutes, street in 1.
In the well known sketch, “A Legitimate Hold Up.” The act scored heavily all the way through, the work of the three people being absolutely O.K. Great laughing act. 18 minutes, opens in 1, closes in Fancy in 3.
A thorough artist from head to foot. The piano playing is the secondary part of his entertainment. What he introduces is effectively done, but as a story teller and monologist he is one of the best we have had for a long time. A genuine hit all the way through. Finished strong. 33 minutes, C.D.F.
Juvenile impersonator. Opens with a college boy number, follow with sleepy little girl song, closes with street gamin number. Quite a clever little woman who got by in fairly good shape. Moderately strong finish. 16 minutes, opened in 1, goes to 2, closes in 1.
Novelty juggler with black face comedy assistant. Introduces a lot of tricks which held the attention, the comedy element of the act being the demolishing of crockery by the comedian. A very good act which gave satisfaction. Closed strong. 16 minutes, palace in 4.
24 minutes in one. Leonard has certainly improved since his last appearance in this house. His voice is good and strong, while his dancing is splendid. Miss Russell is an attractive and able assistant, her numbers scoring heavily. The act in its present condition is one of the best values of the season.
27 minutes full stage. This sketch with Miss Bergere’s portrayal of the Jap wife, is certainly a vaudeville classic and will always be welcomed by our audience. It is its fourth presentation here, and is going better than ever. We have never played a sketch as satisfying as this one.
