Singing and dancing, very dainty, singing dancing and playing of the girls a novelty. Costumes and setting of act beautiful, went very good. 13 min. full stage.
Singing and talking, a very good line of stuff, and good from the start, act went big. 19 min. own drop. Own drop in two close two min in one.
Comedy water jugglers. Starts off with juggling batons, then to small cups of water which he gets wet all over with drawing a lot of comedy. He keeps changing from smaller vessels until finally comes on in a Bathing suit with two good sized tubs, with which he does some very clever juggling. Act opened the show very good. 14. Min. full stage, carry their own waterproof drop and ground cloth.
Singing and dancing, female impersonator, one of the best. Dresses swell. The light effects great. Will draw the women. Big hit 10 minutes special plush set.
Two men club jugglers, very lively workers, very good act went big done 8 minutes in one, work in dress suits.
Comedy sketch. 4 people, epical country grocery store set, sketch called THE LOST CHORD, a little dramatic business. A very good sketch went big 25 minutes.
I don’t know when an act has received as much applause in this house as was given this one this afternoon. Even at the finish, when the act was practically done and closing the show, where the people usually walk out, they remained in their seats and demanded more. I feel sure that this is going to be a “money-getter” for us. On Wednesday Mr. Edwards and his company are going out in automobiles and sing on the street and collect money for the Providence Poor Children’s Christmas. I want to say here that Mr. Edwards did not need a second asking to lend himself to the scheme, entering into it with cheerful spirit. The act runs 40 Min. opening about 5 Min. in One, closing F.S.
This is a corking good vaudeville act with a lot of bright sayings and some original songs all well presented. At the opening performance they were on much earlier and moved to this spot because of their hit. 21 Min. F.S. Close in One.
Studies in Shakespear [sic]. I was a little fearful that this act might not go, but was most agreeably disappointed. It would not be too much to say that he made a hit. His act is splendidly mounted, carrying several drops and he was given good applause all though and at the finish. 16 Min. in Two.
This is a likely young fellow with a fairly good monologue which in spots is very good indeed. His recital of the “Charge of the Light Brigade” as given by an effeminate young man, was decidedly funny. 15 Min. in One.
