Jas. Harrigan

Juggling, songs and monologue. Tramp makeup. Opened with a Uneeda Biscuit song in front of the new Uneeda biscuit drop. Some of his work received applause, and parts of the monologue elicited laughter. Good two show act, some in the audience thought. 23 mins, open in one. LANDSCAPE in 2. Close in one.

Sidney Grant

With the exception of one or two imitations and a couple of stories, he gave us practically the same act he did last year which, while it went very well, didn’t make a great hit. He is all right at the salary he is getting, but I would not be willing to pay him any more. 23 min in one, 2 shows.

Pauline Hall

Of course we don’t expect any great things from Miss Hall, on the stage. We pay her her money to draw the people in and this being her first time here, I think she will do it. She makes good, decidedly better than Della Fox, who got more money, and I think will draw fully as well if not better. She is a picture, in her last song in tights, and all in all I am satisfied to have played her now, although I wouldn’t care to repeat. 11 min in one, 2 shows.

Theodore Morse Trio

These men sing their own compositions (of the popular style of songs) and received considerable applause-mostly from up-stairs. While it is a good act – I must agree with Boston, that they belong in the three a day crowd. 13 min in 3. The act could be done in one, 2 shows.

National Trio

Three young men who perform some really very good feats on the rings, many of them as good as some of the big ring acts we have played, but their appearance and manner is against them and they lack finish, but from a three a day standpoint it is exceptionally good. 10 min, full stage, 3 shows.

Lewis McCord and Co.

18 min, bare stage. This act is well known to every one in the circuit. I do not think we want to repeat this sketch. This is the third appearance here and each time he has brought us the same sketch with a very bad Romeo. I think Mr. McCord would be very much better if he would spend a little more money for the male member of his company. He is about the worst I ever saw on any stage.

Geo. H. Wood

Monologue in one, 23 min. This act is entirely too long. If it was cut to about 8 min. it would be a very good act but Mr. Wood insists on staying on the entire time, which in my opinion murders his act. I would not want to play him again unless he would make the change I suggested.

Herbert Kelcey and Effie Shannon

20 min, interior in three, sketch. Journeys End in Lovers Meeting. To our great surprise this act was not a drawing card and they just about got away with the sketch. There is nothing to the act that would give either Mr. Kelcey or Miss Shannon a chance to show their ability.

Martini and Maxmillian

18 minutes in three, close in about four min. Burlesque Magic. This act only went fare with us and would not care to play them on return, unless they get another act. This is their third appearance here and our patrons are about tired of them.

Henry Miller

This is Mr. Miller’s first appearance in vaudeville and he is presenting ‘Frederick Lemaitre,’ undoubtedly the greatest sketch ever offered in vaudeville theatre. Mr. Miller’s reputation as a finished actor is so widely known that it is scarcely necessary to say that every word and gesture is all that the stage could ask. He is drawing a big business and receives two and three curtain calls at every performance. If we had more acts of this kind it would be a good thing for vaudeville, full stage 30 minutes.
