Rich and Harvey

Surprisingly good little three a day act, two men on blackface, one of whom at least is a pretty good dancer. The comedy is not very strong but the act made quite a hit: for the early section is all right. 15 min in 1, 2 shows.

Della Fox

Looks better than she has at any time during her vaudeville engagements. Her voice is stronger and she seems more like her former self. Miss Fox comes our first in dress but it is when she changes to boy’s costume for her second song that she makes good with the audience, works in two 11 minutes.

Mary Norman

Presenting her new monologue ‘Masks and Faces.’ While Miss Norman is exceptionally clever actress and has a voice of wonderful clearness, she does not possess even a slight degree of that great requisite to vaudeville, magnetism. She goes very strong here with the more intelligent portion of the audience. 19 mins, FS.

The Zancigs

2 shows, 15 minutes in 1. Man and woman, in an exhibition of mind reading or telepathy, which is the best of the kind we have ever played here. They work fast and the audience never has a chance to be other than interested. Got an enthusiastic round of applause at the close. It makes a great ‘feature’ act.

The Village Choir

2 shows, 15 minutes in 1. Mixed quartet of vocalists, who make a specialty of the old ballads, which they sing fairly well. One of the women flats horribly, in her solo, but outside of that there is scarcely anything to be said in criticism of the act. Every selection was encored.

Searle & Violette Allen

In a comedy skit entitled ‘The Sign Painter.’ This is a novelty act, and rather a good one. First time it’s played this house, and made quite a hit. They open up with quite a little dialogue, and finish with some singing and dancing and some character imitations, which go very big. They work entirely in one. Time 16 minutes.

The Three Romainers

European acrobatic act. This is only a fair act. There’s nothing in it that’s out of the ordinary. Two men and a woman. One of them has a ladder on his shoulders, then a smaller ladder is stretched across the center of the other one. The boy and girl do a few stunts on it that about makes it good for an opening act. 8 minutes full stage.

Kelly and Reno

Comedy acrobats. This is not a good act by any means; a very poor imitation of Rice & Prevost. Besides that, some parts of it are vulgar, and not fir [sic] for a first-class audience. They belong in the burlesque houses. Time, 13 minutes full stage.

Moore & Littlefield

Well known act, ‘Change Your Act,’ or ‘Back to the Woods.’ Fourth visit here. Know carry a property man and have a few new lines. The act always seems to get the laughs – most of the time the audience being in convulsions. Very good act. 25 mins, bare stage. Turned drop in one.

Herbert Kelcey & Effie Shannon

Presenting a sketch, entitled ‘Journeys End in Lovers Meeting.’ A really clever little love story, full of heart interest, presented by artists. Kelcey’s work reminds one of Chas. Hawtery, in his vaudeville sketch. The audience followed the dialogue closely and appeared to be intensely interested. The act will draw patronage. Very good for this house, and it would be well if we could have as artistic an offering to present every week. 20 mins., CDF in 3.
