Majestic Musical Four

Four men, three working full dress, the other eccentric. The act is similar to Waterburg Brothers and Tenny, but not the musicians by any means. They attempt some singing which is very bad, will arrange to cut it out. Had a discord in the saxophone solo. A little overpaid for the act presented to-day. Nineteen minutes, close in one about 3 minutes, two shows.

Coughlin

Novel Electric Club Manipulator. Novelty of this act is worn off. Merely a pretty sight act and fair opener. Received very little applause. Nine minutes in full stage three shows.

Gilday and Fox

3 shows, 12 min in 1. Two men in singing, talking and dancing sketch, ‘The Hebrew Trainer and the Jockey.’ Their singing and talk does not amount to much for this house but they got them on their dancing and went off to considerable applause. Will move them down after the biograph.

May Vokes

Assisted by Neil McCoy, presenting the comedy ‘A Model Maid.’ Miss Vokes portrays the character of the maid, which gives her excellent opportunities. The act is rather refined, with a vein of light comedy running through it, with several good strong laughs. The act was well received and the regulars enjoyed the comedy. She received a curtain call on the finish. Twenty-two minutes, two shows.

Geo. Alexander

Tramp monologuist. If you compare this man to Paul Barnes, he should do three shows at seventy-five dollars. His work is not strong enough to secure one-twenty five. At the afternoon performance he was [sic] failure, this evening he went s trifle better. He secured some laughs in spots, his parodies are long drawn out and lose interest. Thirteen minutes in one, two shows.

J. Francis Dooley, Dorthy Bremmer and Mabel Marsh

Singing and dancing number. The girls make a very attractive appearance, rather refined, with elegant costumes. Dooley does very little dancing and a singer he just gets it out. One of the girls is a very clever toe dancer and is the strongest part of the act. The act is alright at the price and will make good if on about or before the 8:30. Nineteen minutes, two shows.

La Petite Mignon

Little girl with burlesque imitations. Looks about 12 years of age, her mother claims she is sixteen. Has the mannerisms of an older person. Gives imitations of Elfie Fay, Marie Dressler, Anna Held, Fred. [sic] Stone and Fay Templeton. Each impersonation strongly applauded. Will give her a better position on the bill tonight. Two shows, ten minutes.

Norman D. Stell

3 shows, 11 min in 1. Boy soprano. I agree with New York that his voice is decidedly unnatural and weak. Can’t see for the life of me why this boy should have been booked? We will probably cut him out of our bill altogether by tonight. Drew some applause at the finish.

The Zarnes

3 shows, 11 min, full stage. Man and woman, trapeze artist and flying ring performers. Quite a stiff place for these people and they lend a balance to the show that we could not otherwise get; drew considerable applause at the finish.

Colonial Septette

Four men and three women, offering a musical act, dressed in Colonial costume. A little singing, that is not an important factor, and some dancing. A well-dressed, handsomely mounted act, carrying a great deal of special scenery. Liberal applause. 26 min. Open in one, special in 4, close in one.
