Drop in one, thirteen minutes. Boy and girl, singing, talking and dancing. This woman’s singing is a scream, their talking just about passes, the dancing saves them, and secured some applause on the finish.
Full stage, ten minutes. Two men and a woman, comedy hoop jugglers. One man impersonates the rube. Their work is good, introducing a number of new tricks, with some pretty fair comedy. Received some applause throughout and closed very strong.
Man and woman in talk and songs. From a three a day standpoint a very good act. Their material is rather away from the average act of this kind, and the songs introduced are good. Good hand at the finish. 17 mins. in 1.
Jugglers and hoop rollers. Three boys, one doing comedy as a rube kid. These people have improved greatly since last here, and presented a very pretty little sight act this afternoon. Frequent applause. From a three a day standpoint, a mighty good act. 10 mins, Gar. In 3.
Black face comedian and musician, Gardiner’s work is well liked by our audiences, and though he had a hard spot, he had no trouble in holding it down. His parodies caught the house at the start, and his work on the horn brought him back in good shape for final parody. Good act. 16 mins. in 1.
Mr. Marcel is giving us a different act this time than when here before. His pictures include bronze, blue, and white Bas Reliefs and color pictures. It is undoubtedly the most satisfactory act that he has yet given us from the viewpoint of the audience, and every picture was applauded. There is no question but what Marcel will bring us a lot of business this week, as the act made a great impression this afternoon. 24 min.
Three men, Italian street musicians. One of the best singing acts that we play, and for our audience, fully as good as The Three Dumonds. Received first advance applause of the day, showing that they were well remembered for their last visit, and each song was received with sincere applause. Good act. 18 min in 1.
Two men in Irish talk, finishing with burlesque grand opera singing. These people have good material and deliver it well, and though it is all nonsense, it got the laughs. See no reason why this act could not be done in one just as well as in three, which would make it much more valuable. 16 mins. CDF in 3.
Singing comedienne. Miss Stembler is well known on the circuit, and is always a valuable act in one, for this house. She varied her act this time by singing her first number in country make up, then changing to evening dress. Good act. 16 mins. in 1.
In this one act comedy, entitled, ‘The Impostor.’ First time in two years for this sketch. Mortimer plays the part formerly played by John Kearney, and plays it fully as well. The farce is full of action, bright lines, and clever situations, while both people are artistic in their work. Aroused incessant laughter and received a strong hand at the finish. Mighty good act. 23 mins, CDF 3.
