The Meers

2 men and a woman. Wire artists. The comedy end of this act is good something unusual for foreigners. They received a big lot of applause for their wire work, which is excellent. In fact, it is the only act we ever had for many a day that held them to the finish. 16 min, full stage, 2 shows.

Lew Sully

This man is working in white-face. Although he had a very hard place on the bill, he negotiated it with great success. His material is all new and is exceptionally bright. I think he gave us the best act we ever had. 16 min in one, 2 shows.

Smith & Campbell

Conversationalists. First appearance in years. Received some advance applause. They gave us an entirely new act. Good bright lines with some excellent songs. All their material was laughed at and they finished strong. The laughing hit of the show up to this point. 18 min in one, 2 shows.

Grace Jackson

Soprano. First appearance. This woman makes a very nice appearance. She has great volume, but the voice is not musical and the enunciation bad. She has quite a following here and I presume we will do business on her name. 16 min in one, 2 shows.

The Le Pages

Novelty Jumpers. Man and woman. Greatly improved and one of the best of its kind we ever played. They carry their own stage setting, which improves the act greatly. Introduces a number of new stunts. Act is deserving a better place. 13 min, full stage.

Eldwood F. Bostwick & Co.

In a comedy sketch called ‘Cranks’ founded on the automobile craze. The act is a very good one for the salary paid and got quite a few laughs this afternoon. This spot was also a little strong for them as they should go on by three o’clock in the afternoon and 8:30 at night. 25 min. full stage, 2 shows.

John Eberly

Baritone vocalists. This man has a nice voice but I was rather disappointed as I expected something a great deal better. I think he gets about forty dollars a week too much and for a straight singing act of this kind, by a man, it certainly should be a three a day section. 11 min in , 2 shows.

Swift & Buckley

This is one of those old time musical acts in which the instrumental performances are decidedly rotten but they get by all right with their comedy. May be classed as fair in the three a day section. 14 min. open in 3, close in1, 3 shows.

Will Rogers

An act without a peer for novelty, execution and atmosphere. This Rogers is a genuine child of the plains with a patter that is both original and refreshing. His work with his lasso and Indian pony assisted by a fellow cowboy is remarkable, and I consider him the true headliner of the bill. 13 min. FS.

The Great Lafayette

Presenting, his illusions, his protean act, his impersonation and ‘The Lions Bride.’ Personally I think this man is the biggest four-flush in the business, but I cannot get away from the fact that he pleases the audiences as he was applauded for a full five minutes after his impersonations act. Sound, color, light and life constitute Lafayette and the public appear to like it. First two acts 32 min. Last act 18 min.
