Banks and Winona Winter

2 shows. 20 min. open full stage, close in one. Same style act they have always done, and went quite strong. Mr. Winter seems to be singing in better form than when here last, but Winona’s “imitations” do not grow any better as she gets older. Personally, I could never see her, but she pleases the audience, it is they who pay to be satisfied.

Paloma Ladies’ Quarter

3 shows, 11 min. in one. The one good vocalist among these four women is the first contralto, and not one of them knows how to dress. They just pulled through their schedule, and were not encouraged to return after any of their selections.

The Nice Twins

3 shows, 14 min. in one. A young fellow and girl who costumes themselves as juveniles., but are getting a little too old for that sort of thin, as they do not impress any one with the idea that they are any longer youthful. They are fair singers, but if they would cut their vocalism and add more dancing would go stronger.

The Horseshoe Three

3 shows, 20 min., full stage. These people do an act in which a deaf professor, an Irish dialect comedian and a girl who impersonates a juvenile, are the characters. The material furnished the foundation for the act of Baker and Conn, who have been here twice. It went very well, and fits in first rate in the 3-turn portion of the show.

Lony Haskell

GRB-2. I expected this fellow to die an awful death following Guyer and Daly, and especially as for various reasons, the show was about half an hour late. To my great surprise he walked on and next to Guyer and Daly made the hit of the bill. 15 minutes in one.

McWaters, Tyson Co.

Consisted of one man and three girls in an act called “Scenes in a Dressing Room” and concluding with one of Hermann’s illusions. The act seemed to please all right, although I cannot see it for any big money. It is a lively working sketch, but the people themselves are awfully affected, and I can only class it as a good act. 24 minutes, open full stage, close in one.

Pantzer Trio

GNH-2. Two girls and one man in a contortion act; one of the girls and the man making the best contortions that I ever saw in my life. There are assisted by a woman who plays the piano and who is somewhat superfluous, although she is not on but a few minutes and helps to fill up the stage. An exceptionally clever act. 15 minutes; full stage.

Tommy Baker

AR-3. Songs and Monologue. Were in New York this man goes very strong indeed. His personality is a little against him but he certainly does tell some good original stories and has a very good singing voice. This afternoon he went quite strong. 16 minutes in one.

May Duryea & John Kearney

In a farce called “The imposter” which has many bright lines and laughable situations and is well played. Miss Duryea’s impersonation of an intoxicated woman, while being funny, was quite dainty and refined and not at all offensive. 25 min. full stage, 3 shows.
