Al Lawrence

15 minutes. All in one. Not doing so many imitations or singing so much and works the story and of his act more than ever. I believe the change is for the better, as he is giving a very strong act here, and delivers more goods for the money than any act we have played this season. Lawrence has always been handicapped a little bit by his appearance, and, though it may be owing to the impression he makes, he looks better than heretofore.

Melville and Stetson

14 minutes. All in one. This act is a positive imposition, as outside of a music hall it should not be allowed to go on the stage. I don’t believe they please even the people who laugh at them. Being women, I don’t care to express my opinion as to what they look like. I don’t believe they should be considered at any price.

Wilfrid Clarke and Co.

19 minutes. Full stage. Four people presenting “in the Biograph”. Second time here, and while the act has been brightened up considerable, the cast is not as good as before. However, the entire act goes better, but don’t think it draws any many.

Moung Toon and Moung Chet

12 minutes. Full stage. Two Burmese jugglers who perform wonderful feats of ball passing and throwing without the aid of the hands. Hollow wiker balls and glass balls about six inches in diameter are used. Splendid novelty and goes well with our audience.

Phroso

A good act that with its mysterious intent causes continued comment. Some of the situations create much laughter and one the whole scores a success. Full stage. Time 9 minutes.

Turner’s Rialto Belles and Florence Burns

The Rialto Belles consist of eight young women and a leader who render three songs with figure dancing and light effects. The act was good deal of a disappointment and failed to carry. The introduction of Miss Burns at the close of their act proved to be an unprecedented drawing card, filling the house at each performance with high class audiences, who watched and listened to her short act with engrossed attention. Miss Burn’s appearance was certainly remarkably prepossessing. Used full stage; time 17 minutes.

Baker and Lynn

In ‘Electric Boys’. Rather a poor attempt at a humorous sketch and therefore received but mild commendation. These people with a better vehicle for comedy would undoubtedly be able to score, but as it is they fall short. Use the house man with full stage. Time 23 min.

Fiske and Mcdonough

In ‘Brocky’s Temptation’. Same old act without change or variation. Are clever artists and as the sketch is well worded and true to slumming life, always finds a ready acceptance with our audiences. Full stage and use the house actor is small speaking part. Time 23 min.

Ramzo and Arno

Eccentric comedians. A good opening act; using full stage. Have a dummy figure and one of them does a comedy donkey act of slack wire, which goes well in its absurdity. Close in one. 11 min.

Rackett Brothers

Exterior in 4. 16 minutes. Carry special scenery for their act. Their instrumental music and singing is excellent and it also has the advantage of being presented in a novel manner.
