Murphy and Andrews

3 shows, 15 min. in one—man and woman in an old style singing and dancing sketch made a capital opener, much better than average, and their parody songs were all warmly applauded.

Ross and Benton

two shows – 16 mins.-Own-Set—A “big” at from drawing standpoint, but hardly furnishes a “big” entertainment. This is not to say that the act was not received with laughter and applause at times; but lines and situations are not particularly notable. Vaudeville has advanced much since their former appearance in the business, while the team has not, perhaps, advanced at all.

La Noles

2 shows – 6 mins- [?]arden in three- Employing to robel & Ruge revolving ladder idea, but the latter is on a stand on the stage. Their feats throughout are praiseworthy and unusually skillful, while their finish—the rungs of the latter dropping out and the sides go around separately—constitute one of the most exciting finishes in variety. This finish is rather of a sensational nature.

Bridegroom’s Reverie

2 shows – 23 mins. Own set – Patrice’s big frame is employed; but the whole act is given inside the frame. The bridegroom sees several of his old sweethearts, the girls appearing alternately, one furnishing instrumental music; the other, singing. The living picture idea is employed to show a red cross nurse attending a soldier. The wind-up shows the bride herself, and she steps from the frame onto the stage. It is a “pretty” act, and affords a pleasing setting for the specialties of the sisters, making their work go better than it would without this spectacular outfit.

Lozelle

Ring Performer. Had quite an elaborate act and does some good work. He introduced a fake fall for his finish which is worked neatly, and is very effective. 12 minutes, full stage, three shows.

Nessen & Nessen

Club Manipulators. The club juggling was very good and was done very smartly with only one miss. One of the members of the team adopts an eccentric make-up and attempts some comedy which is distressing. The turn would be much improved if both worked straight. 12 minutes, full stage, 3 shows.

Rastus & Banks

in “The Major and the Maid”. The same actor they have done for sometime and they went about the same as usual. The woman has a fair voice and the man does some acrobatic dancing that is just fair, but both have a pert stage matter which is undoubtedly offensive to a certain proportion of the audience. This team was here just three months ago, and the last week were at Proctors 23rd St. house, so it has no novelty to recommend it. Under the circumstances I should say this was a very unsatisfactory offering. 12 minutes, opens in 2, closes in one, 3 shows, NH.

Stack & Milton

For a straight bar act this is about as good as one as we get. There is nothing particularly startling offered, but the work is very credible, the act is nicely dressed, and every trick is done with neatness and finish.

Eva Williams & Jack Tucker

in “Driftwood”. It goes without saying that these people are always artists in anything they attempt. “Driftwood” is a sort of continuation of “Skinny’s Finish” and is, I think, just as good a sketch. The offering seems to be appreciated and can be marked as satisfactory in every particular. 26 minutes, full stage, 2 shows.

The Fadettes Woman’s Orchestra

This is a big and very satisfactory attraction. The applause this afternoon was very loud and, I think, practically unanimous. The members of the orchestra are all capable musicians and have been well trained. Several are above the average in good looks and all present a nice modest stage appearance. 35 mins., full stage, 2 shows.
