Banks and Wenona

Winter. In a sketch introducing singing and imitations. Act is very similar to the one they formerly had. Went very well especially the girl’s imitation of Vernon the ventriloquist. 20 min. 2 shows, open three close in one.

Le Page and Florence

Man in trick jumping, kicking and volting [sic]. Woman is merely an assistant to hold the stuff. Very clever act out of the ordinary and contains plenty of variety and may be classed as good. 12 min. full stage. 3 shows.

Konorah

Known as the Modern Witch. This woman, with the assistance of a man, does some really remarkable lightning calculations, and much of it without either seeing or hearing the figures. There is no doubt but that she is the best in that line that has ever appeared in vaudeville, but it is somewhat doubtful if she makes the success Inaudi did here. I am not exactly clear whether she will make a strong feature or not, and would rather wait for two or three more performances before deciding. 24 minutes. Full stage.

Inman and Staats

Irish comedians, one made up eccentric and the other straight. They introduce a good line of comedy and close with the burlesque drama business formerly done by Brice and Inman. Went very strong this afternoon. 23 minutes, full stage. Close in one.

Keno, Welch, and Melrose

Three men in an acrobatic comedy act. One made made [sic] up eccentric and the other two straight. Keno is a pretty good comedian in his way, and the other two men are exceptionally good acrobats. This is a strong all round act. 18 minutes. Full stage.

Orth and Fern

NH-2. Two young men who do a rather clever specialty in which they introduce some acceptable piano playing, and concluded with some original songs and parodies, both of them being very good singers. This is a good act throughout. 20 min. open full stage close in one.

Johnson and Wells

NH-3. A colored man and woman in an extremely good singing and talking act. Also introducing a little eccentric dancing. Consider the act about as good as any of the colored acts that play the house. 12 minutes in one.

Forrester and Floyd

GRR-3. Man and Woman in a singing and talking act. The first part of their act this afternoon was very poor, but they finished all right with some coster singing, etc. I had them change first part of act back and use the same material that they did the last time, and it will doubtless go much better. 16 minutes in one.

Edith Richards

SR-3. A rather pretty young girl, introducing small musical act, playing on sleigh bells, trombone and one or two other instruments. Quite dainty little act. 9 min. full stage. Can work in one if necessary.

Andreassen Brothers

7 minutes. Full stage. Acrobats and hand to hand balancers who bill themselves and appear as Danish Midshipman. This act was an agreeable surprise to use here. They follow along about the same lines as the Bright Bros., and work so smartly they make big hit with the audience. Possibly not worth $175. But think are worth more than some getting $200. Good act at $150. And could be used as a headliner.
