Ed. Reynard

Ventriloquist. This performer has got an entirely new way of introducing his act using special scenery and making it something like a comedy sketch, using dummy figures as the different characters. His interlocutor work is all right, and mechanically there is nothing to be desired about the act, although he is far from being what I anticipated. 18 minutes, open in full stage, and close in one.

Ed Reynard

17 min. open in 3, close in 1 – Ventriloquil comedian, with an attractive stage setting that he carries himself, and a wonderful lot of mechanical figures. As a ventriloquist he is no better and no worse than many others, and as a comedian he falls away behind, as most of his material have been gathered from old almanacs, and some of it stolen.

Wm. Ebs and Co.

The novelty ventriloquist. Special in two and olio in one. 12 minutes. Ebs springs a very clever surprise on this visit, and adds to the good impression which he made on former visits.

Walter & Walters

Special in one. 16 minutes. Mr. and Mrs. Walters have a splendid ventriloquial act which stands alone in excellence. A decided hit.

Edward Reynard

Ventriloquist. This act has been improved materially by the addition of some new set houses and figures and he has his dummies in the form of animals and people and from all parts of the stage. The audience being continually surprised by some new dummy popping forth. This is unquestionably the strongest act of its kind in business. 18 minutes in one, open full stage and closed in one.

Marshall Montgomery

18 mins.- Spec. Drop in 3. Assisted by Lucile De Haven, he is presenting his well known ventriloquial offerings, which kept the audience in good humor and closed to a big hand.

The Great Lester

On at 3:38, 28 minutes in 1. This man came on with his familiar line of stuff and held the audience every minute until the close, finally doing his song without the dummy. Cut: word hell.

Tom Edwards

C.D.F. Time 23. English (apparently) ventriloquist. His opening with a newspaper kid dummy is a little lame. However the major part of the act is clever and novel. Edwards comes on the stage with a baby dummy. While endeavoring to put the baby to sleep, the rest of his numerous family keep calling to him off stage. The entertainment is high grade and brought many laughs and much interest throughout this part.

Tom Edwards

Same efficient ventriloquist of yore. Held the attention of the audiences all the way through and finished strong. 28 minutes, C.D.F.

Nan Acker & Co.

Went well. Ventriloquial act entitled β€œOn the B. & O.” Special scene of a waiting room in a railroad station. Nine dummies are employed and a walking figure. This was the first performance of the act and while there was some confusion as was to be expected, it was well done in the main. Miss Acker is very clever as a ventriloquist and the dialogue is full of pith and point. The laughs come frequently. There is a foundation in act for something good to be developed and with attention should result in an act worth while. Full stage. Time 19 min.
