Singing and talking comedians. This team is made up of Vidocq, of the old firm of Haines and Vidocq, and Barry Thomson well known in burlesque. The act is modeled after the old one of Haines and Vidocq and much of the material is the same. Made out all right to-day going especially strong with the upstairs patrons. 2 shows, 14 min. in 1. Storyteller and singer of coon ballads. Did not go at all strong but will probably do better with the night audience. She is paid too much money. GHR and 3-shows is about her real value.
3 shows, 19 min. in 1. Two men in a crazy patchwork of nonsensical dialogue and trashy ballads. Not strong enough for this place in the bill by any means. Will shift it tomorrow.
This distinguished son of the eminent E. L. Davenport and brother of the late Fanny Davenport appeared in two talking songs and scored one of the biggest hits on the bill. His “turn” is not only novel but altogether enjoyable. 13 min. in one.
Refined singing and story telling act. He appeared to good advantage and was well received by our audiences. 17 min. in one.
Monologue and songs. She is the same as ever, has some new songs which she signs well. Her monologue is mostly recollections of her past, and went quite strong. All in one. Time 18 minutes.
A fair talking and singing act, are not going very good here. All in one. 12 min.
Songstories. Carroll being a Brooklyn man, is consequently a favorite. He does his usual act which always goes good. He has the assistance of a young lady, singing from the upper box, which adds much to the act. All in one. Time 14 minutes.
3 shows, 12 min in 1. Two men in singing, talking and dancing sketch, ‘The Hebrew Trainer and the Jockey.’ Their singing and talk does not amount to much for this house but they got them on their dancing and went off to considerable applause. Will move them down after the biograph.
Opened in one with a sort of a ‘Sal Skinner Girl’ specialty, which was below par. Then went to full stage and attempted Geo. Austin’s work, but she can’t get away with it in Austin’s style. No real harm for an early spot in the three-show division. Cut out: bustle in disrobing act. 15 min. Open in one. Garden.
