Revere Sister

KR 3 – A couple of girls in the ordinary style of singing and dancing acts. They were put in today to take the place of Wordette and Kusel, who cancelled on account of sickness, and they did very nicely indeed. They make three changes of costume, all of which are neat and pretty. They sing fairly well and are both lively. 10 minutes in one.

The Two Pucks

17 min. in one. These two young people made good in this spot. They open with a song and dance in one, getting to two, giving a little exhibition of piano-playing and sketch-song at the telephone, finishing with a “tough” dance and song which got a good hand.

Burns & Fulton

12 min. open in one, close in two. This is a good dancing act. They open with a song in one, then proceed to songs and dances, with two changes of costumes, including an imitation of Laddie Cliff which was not convincing. The rest of the work in two consists of acrobatic dancing which is very good and gets a strong hand. Held the spot very acceptably.

Warren, Lyon and Meyers

“A Little of Everything”. Singing, dancing, comedy lines, some good business, and altogether a good act. Full stage, closing in one.

Kennedy and Rooney

2 shows, 13 min. open full stage, close in 1. Singing and dancing act, with a little trick piano playing by the man. It is a very good little act but lacks the grace and finish of the Gleasons.

The Castanos

These people also opened with duet singing and then did some novelty dancing after the style of the De Forst; and incidentally the woman introduces some contortion work that is exceptionally good in view of her physique. She is not a gross looking person at all, but it just a little inclined to stoutness, and it is a wonder to me how she accomplished the work that she does. 14 minutes full stage.

The Holdworths

A young boy and a girl who do a singing and dancing act and incidentally play banjoes. It is a might neat, clean, and acttractive [sic] act, and makes a turn that starts the show off all right. Both of them are good dressers, good dancers, and their double banjoe [sic] work is really excellent. 12 minutes, open in two and close in one.

Sam Davis and Laura Walker

3 shows, 14 min. in 1. “Real coon” singers and dancers, the man being particularly agile in the manipulation of his pedal extremities, and the woman possessed of a well cultivated, though not musical, voice. As usual with colored entertainers in this house, they made a hit.

Harry Linton and the Lawrence Sisters

GHR. Linton is of the original team of Linton and Morntyre, and the sketch he is presenting, so far as the lines are concerned, is largely reminiscent of the old act. They get away with it very nicely, however, and close with a triple song and dance act that is quite pretty. 15 minutes full stage.  Could close in one if necessary,

Meredith Sisters

A couple of light colored “coons” who dress very nicely indeed and who, although not very good singers, have a personality which pleases the audience. They appeared first in their long dresses and did a song in one; then went to full stage in Indian costume and sang “Hiawatha” which was a big hit, and closed in one with short dresses with a dance. It is a thoroughly all right act for three show-a-day. 12 minutes, open and close in one.
