18 min. open in one, close F.S. There is no doubt that Bothwell Browne is an artist in his line. His Broadway types were good, but they did not show what he could do in the impersonation line, the spoken songs being better than his rendering of them; but when it came to “The Serpent of the Nile” with its gorgeous setting and brilliant costuming, it was certainly a hit. Held the rapt attention of the audience throughout. His dancing in this part of the act is simply marvelous, and the climax very thrilling. The finishing applause was immense and particularly after his doffing his wig and showing himself an impersonator.
Two very clever people with some good songs. Both are very clever dancers and with their pleasing personalities they are a welcome addition to vaudeville. In one.
11 minutes in one. Singing and dancing. These boys make a splendid team of dancers. They are not as noisy as some we have had but their dancing is really good. Made quite an impression here this afternoon.
In 1. Time 10. A clever juvenile working much in the style of Laddie Cliff in songs. Randall’s dancing however is individual and accurate. A hit.
18 min in one. A local trio that made very good in this place on the bill. Three changes of costume and good line of songs with clever eccentric dancing. Considerable applause throughout and closed well.
23 min. F.S., close in one. Well known act and has been a favorite here twice before. Introduced some songs and some new patter, all of which went well. The costuming is very stunning and the close in one was particularly amusing. Finished very strong.
10 min. in one. Man and woman who make a pleasing appearance. Their singing is fair and their dancing on the mat is very exceptional. The woman is particularly expert and has a good stage presence. The man’s dancing is quite remarkable. Closed very well.
10 minutes f.s. Russian dancers and singers. They are hardly as good as some troupes of the same kind we have had in years past, but filled the spot and is fair value for the money.
15 minutes in one. Two rather attractive girls, one of whom can sing and the other a little light on voice. They make a number of changes, closing with a see-saw number which is somewhat of a novelty. But the act as a whole just gets by.
19 min. in one. This is a lively, light warm-weather act, full of fun, music and ginger, and thoroughly made good. The dancing of the Millership Sisters on the mat is a pleasing feature of the act. They make two changes of costume and Harry Fox’s humor gets a good many laughs. He is original and lively, has a good singing voice. Closed strong after an encore.
