Kelly & Pollock

Man and woman. Songs and dance and talk, in straight and character work. Some pretty fair spots, but all in all did not make much of an impression. No finish worth talking about. Special in 2, olio in 1. 21 min. (Open)

The Gee-Jays

Man and woman, singing and dancing on a miniature stage. A nice little act for opening position, such an act as is necessary to play once in a while for the children. F.S.

Young and McLaughlin

Young man and woman who sing couple of songs and give an exposition of some of the modern dancing, such as the turkey-trot, the bunny-hug and Texas tommy. Seemed to please in this position. F.S.

Leonard & Russell

23 min. in one. Good advance applause. Leonard won the big house today completely with his songs, and especially his dancing on the sanded mat. Introduced a good line of comedy talk with Miss Russell and closed with his old minstrel favourite, “BeeLee Eyes.”

Harry Fox & Millership Sisters

20 minutes in One. Fox in his songs is a riot, and the dancing of the girls went big. They have a rousing finish, and are a tremendous hit.

Handers and Mellis

Two men singing and dancing act. Piano playing. Good dancers. Neatly dressed. 8 minutes in one went very well.

Hathaway, Kelley & Mack

Young man and two young women in a variety singing and dancing act. Some of their work is good, some only fair. All in all they got along first rate and finished moderately strong. Not a hit but fairly pleasing.

Harry Fox & Millership Sisters

20 min. in one. Advance applause. Same act as offered here before with the exception of some new songs by Fox which were especially good. Held the spot in good shape, Harry Fox’s stuff at the finish being a genuine hit.

Gus Edwards’ School Boys and Girls

A corking good singing and dancing act that closed the first of the show in splendid shape. Girls look well, everyone works fast, the comedy lands and the songs are good. Not only does the act please the older folks but the children like it on account of its school-room atmosphere. Kitchen 3, 25 min. 5 min close in 1. Time 30 min.

Isabelle D’Armond & Geo. Moore

16 min. in one. Miss D’Armond is a typical soubrette of the higher type, very versatile, singing, dancing and playing the piano well. She has found a good partner in George Moore. Considerable applause throughout, and closed fairly strong.
