Singing comedienne in “one.” Miss Nichols has one of the best collections of songs I have heard in some time. Closed the first of the bill in good shape.
Ward Brothers
14 minutes in one. Olio. Two English Johnnies, and mighty good ones. They have good songs, good comedy, and some great eccentric dancing.
Harry Breen
Singing comedian. 20 minutes in one. Breen has a rapid fire style of his own that is too monotonous–too much of it. 10 minutes would do. Went fair.
Lydia Barry
Singing comedienne. 15 min in 1. Miss Barry is assisted by a young man at the piano. She does a number of imitations makes three changes. She keeps the audience interested by working rapidly. She shows the difference between the songs of 20 years ago and those of today, which is the hit of her repertoire. The act received favorable recognition.
Sam Lewis and Sam Dody
15 minutes in one. An Italian and Hebrew character act with a lot of novelty stuff. Went very big to-night.
Willie Weston
Comic singer, assisted by a pianist. Some new songs and some old ones. Did very well indeed. 16 Min. in One.
Kimberly and Hodgkins
16 min in one. These two boys carry a drop made up of song-sheet titles. One of the boys is an expert pianist and a good deal of a comedian, dressing in woman’s attire in the latter part of the act. Songs are well selected and got good applause. Held the spot very well and received several curtain calls.
Mumford and Thompson
Two men who sing exceptionally well, but whose comedy is rather flat. They would fare much better with little or not talk. Singing end of the act went very big and they finished decidedly strong. Street in one, 15 minutes.
Kimberly & Hodgkins
12 Min. in 1—Fair singers of poor songs—attempts at comedy bad. Hardly got by.
Tom & Stacia Moore
17 min. in one. (Temporary substitute—afternoon show only.) This is a very good act and could hold a spot anywhere in the first half of a strong bill, such as ours is. Tom Moore is one of best coon shouters we have ever had, and has new songs and a good line of comedy. His side partner is a beautiful woman, with a good voice and makes five changes stunning costumes. The act held the crowd very well with frequent applause and closed strong.
