“The German Comedians”. 12 minutes in one. The best of the 2 men Dutch acts. They keep them laughing all the time and in a hard spot could be called a hit.
Went well. Comedienne. Sings three songs, furnishing her own accompaniment on an organ for the second, changes costume. Works in one, and two. As very good act. Time 10 minutes.
Comic singer. One of the big hits of the bill. I consider him very good indeed. 15 Min. in One.
On at 3”13, 30 minutes full stage. DeHaven was one big hit here this afternoon. He made his opening speech, which I consider one of the best features of the act, especially as he has toned it down quite a lot since he appeared at the 5th Avenue. Everything he did went big and he got a number of curtains.
Songs and comedy. 18 minutes in 1. This act is not strong enough for this house.
20 min. open in one. C.D.F. in 2- close in one. Two women and one man, singing, dancing and comedy. The women do the most of the work. The man’s voice is weak and his singing is not up to the standard. The whole act is good.
Combined, they put up a laugh producing act, which goes very well. Are good singers. A notable feature is the make-up of one of their number in imitation of Bob Fitzsimmons, which makes a bit at once. Close in one, opening with full stage. Time 12[?] minutes.
16 min. in 1. Monologue, singing and dancing comedian, and one of the neatest, cleverest and most artistic in the business. He did not go strong with the afternoon audience, but in the evening record a tremendous hit, especially with his “Helen Gone” song, which, in the hands of any one else, would be offensive.
Singer of comedy songs. 12 minutes in 1. Hardly strong enough for the big houses.
