Assisted by his own pianist, in some comical songs. Mr. Greene has a very nice act but when we think that we pay him practically the same salary that we do Edwards, Van & Tierney, it seems very much like a bunco. Ed. Morton is just as good for this house as Mr. Green and I think it will apply to almost any other house. He by no means made a big hit although he went well. 20 min. in two; could work in one.
A line of comedy songs and talk very similar to that formerly offered by Kate. She got along moderately well and secured some good solid laughs, but on the whole did not score heavily. Fairly strong finish. 20 minutes, olio in 1.
(17 mins.) They held this spot very well with their songs and chatter, getting a liberal supply of laughs and closed to a good hand.
(17 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the bill. Her singing of high-class selections brought excellent returns and she finished very big with a couple of comedy numbers, during which she did some dancing. A very good single.
(17 mins.) Did fairly well with songs and a few comedy bits and stories. His songs carried the act through and he finished to a fair hand.
(19 mins.) Did very nicely with a mixture of songs and talk, most of the latter having reference to soldier life in France. They got a lot of laughs and finished to a good hand.
Singing comedians. One man working straight, the other as a German. Act is rather old-fashioned and would have gone much better earlier in the bill if I had a spot where they could be fitted in. At that, following the big laughing hit of the Cafe del Bowery they got their songs and pater over in good shape and were most acceptable to the audience. Street in 1. Time 18 min.
