Kuter, Hughes & Kuter

Juvenile entertainers. Two boys and a girl. Singing, talking and good comedy. The yougher [sic] of the boys has a very fine tenor voice. His singing took great with the audience. Special set in two, closed in one. Went great. 18 minutes.

Albert Whelan

20 min. This is the first visit of the Australian entertainer in several seasons and this act scored a solid hit. He whistles, tells a couple of stories and sings three comedy numbers besides playing a one-stringed instrument and his material is all handled in an entirely new and novel manner. There was frequent applause during his act and a big hand at the finish.

Horace Wright & Rene Dietrich

Songs, lady and man, 18 minutes (1). Positively the finest lady and man duo ever seen here. Sing they certainly can, and their programme is a most excellent one. A delicious vein of humour, just the right added touch to give it ‘that something different’ tinge helps in making a truly successful offering.

The College Trio

This is one of the acts that made good, in fact made quite a hit. Three boys in a lot of comedy singing, club swinging, etc., all in college atmosphere. Something out of the ordinary and met with most marked approval. 21 Min. Open in Two, close in One.

Mabel Berra

14 min. A very excellent offering for levers of high-class vocal music. Sang five numbers, all operatic except one, a semi-comedy number, and scored with each. Made three changes of costume, wearing some handsome gowns. She was much appreciated and finished to a strong hand.

Four Haley Sisters

Vocalists, 11 minutes (1). The singing is not extraordinary, and the weak comedy might be eliminated to the great betterment of the act. A comedy and attractive appearing quartette, in fact looks in their chief asset, and in this department they easily take rank among the finest ‘girl’ acts that have yet appeared here.

Bernard and Ryan

Singing and talking skit, 14 minutes. Lady and man special drop. A fine line of comedy absolutely new and original, with a smattering of song clever in the extreme makes one of the very best acts seen here during the year. Laughter was incessant and the turn in an excellent comedy offering.

Hallen & Fuller

23 min. “The Corridor of Time.” These favorites of twenty-five years are reviving old memories, doing an old time variety act, singing some of the old songs, cracking some old gags and finishing with an imitation of Lester & Allen, the old time minstrels. It is something different and therefore a good novelty which registered a good sized hit.

Grace Fisher

16 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Singing comedienne with four changes of costume. The hit of her act is the singing by an old Irish lady planted in the orchestra, who sings “A Little Bit of Heaven” at the finish.

Frankie Heath & George Perry

18 min. Songs and patter. Man works straight, girl eccentric but not coarse, making what might be termed a “refined nut” act. These people have found themselves since I saw them the first or second week and now furnish good entertainment for fifteen minutes. Pleased all the way through today and were well rewarded on the finish.
